Highlights of the 41MP camera
- Maximum effective image resolution = 38MP

- Just slide your finger to instantly zoom and select a frame to record or capture. Slide out to zoom out! It is that simple
- Up to 4X zoom with the highest camera resolution. 4X zoom also applies to 1080p HD video!
- Large Xenon flash that is twice as powerful as the Nokia N8′s xenon flash
- Once you capture an image, the picture is instantly available for editing or cropping at the lower right hand side of the screen
- The camera shutter key can be activated when the phone is locked. From locked screen to captured picture, time is just 2 seconds, even 1 if you have fast fingers!!!

Screen size and resolution – Nokia 808 PureView specs
The phone uses a 4 inch AMOLED screen that puts out a 360X640 pixel resolution. We were a little surprised that Nokia didn’t give this phone a much better resolution screen. After all, the results of the amazing camera are first going to be looked at on the phone’s display, rather than a high resolution computer screen on HD TV. Anyways, the 184 pixels per square inch is pretty decent and it makes for a generally nice display. However, like mentioned before, Super AMOLED or Full HD screen would have been really nice.
Memory – Nokia 808 PureView specs
The 808 comes with 16GB of internal space. You can also add in a SD card with capacity up to 32GB if you wish.
Processor and performance – Nokia 808 PureView specs
The 808 uses a single core, 1.3GHz ARM 11 processor. The phone is equipped with 1GB of ROM and 512MB of RAM. Though we would have liked to see at least 1GB in RAM, we have to say that the phone is pretty snappy, partly due to the fact that the new and improved Symbian version, Belle, is a much better performer than the older Symbian Anna version. Screens move very quickly, toggling between landscape and portrait modes do not have those awkward lags anymore and opening up of apps, games etc is also pretty snappy.
Though this is not one of the top phones out there when it comes to processor speed and power, we would say that it is a above average smartphone in that department.
Symbian Belle – Nokia 808 PureView specs
We don’t know what exactly transpired between Nokia and Microsoft for Symbian to make a come back in the the Nokia 808 PureView. We however like the move. Honestly, we didn’t think that Symbian was that bad an OS. It certainly needed a lot of tweaks but Nokia have managed to do a lot of that with Symbian Belle.
You get a very Android like experience with the Symbian Belle OS, with that Nokia touch that will always be there. You get 4 default home screens with the ability to add 2 more. You also get the ability to pull down a notifications and settings bar by swiping from top to bottom, to access routinely used settings features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and even a quick icon to activate the silent mode. We like Symbian Belle and just hope that Nokia continues to give it attention and maybe even make it the primary OS for all Nokia phones in the future. Though opinions might vary, we think that Nokia is better off without Windows and they may have realized that before reintroducing Symbian through the Nokia 808 Pure View.
Internet connectivity – Nokia 808 PureView specs
There is no 4G for this phone. Implementing HSPA+ compatibility or LTE compatibility would have really created a super buzz about this phone, considering that it already has a pretty capable showstopper in the form of the 41MP camera. You will have to settle for 3G speeds with this phone.
Battery life – Nokia 808 PureView specs
The phone is equipped with a 1,400 mAh battery that will give you about 6-7 hours of continuous talk time on a 3G network. On standby mode, in 3G mode, the phone can last for an impressive three weeks.
